Wharf Cottage Kennels & Cattery:
Terms and conditions of booking

What you need to bring on the day: An up to date copy of the pet’s kennel cough and vaccination card; any toys, treats or bedding; a secure collar and lead; your pet!

This is an agreement between Wharf Cottage Kennels & Cattery and the said party.

Wharf Cottage Kennels & Cattery accept to board the pet(s) for a period of (said) days. The owner (of the animals) understands that all pets are charged on a per nightly basis.

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of £25 per pet is required when making a booking. Payment is due in full on either or arrival or departure, credit will not be given.

One Night Stay Only: Payment must be made in full at the time of booking.

No collection: If a period of 14 days passes without collection of the pet after the agreed collection date and there has been no communication from the owner, Wharf Cottage Kennels & Cattery may rehome the pet to recoup any losses.

Payment Type: We accept cash, cheques and debit/credit cards, please note credit cards will incur a 2.5% fee, debit cards will not.

No refunds will be made in the case of early collection.

No reduction is made if you supply your pet's own food.

Opening times: Our picking up times are 10:00 – 12:00 and dropping off times are 14:30 – 17:00, if you need to bring your pet in before 14:30 then you will need to bring them the day before and book an extra night. Late collections will be charged an extra night per pet.

We are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, for drop offs and collections.

Any animals requiring dropping off on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve must be booked in between 14:30 and 15:30.

Vaccinations: Proof of vaccination, including kennel cough in the form of your pet/dog’s up to date vaccination certificate MUST accompany your pet/dog on arrival with us on each occasion. Your vet can provide vaccine information. If proof of vaccination is not shown on arrival then we will not accept your pet/dog for boarding. In the case of kennel cough vaccine it must be administered a minimum of 14 days before at arrival.

We require details of any pre-existing condition and reserve the right to consult a veterinary surgeon should we feel it necessary. The owner will be responsible for the cost of this and of any medication. By agreeing to our terms and conditions gives us your consent to do so. All pets are insured during their stay with us however our insurance does not cover any pre-existing or ongoing conditions requiring veterinary care.

Wharf Cottage Kennels & Cattery will not be responsible for the cost of any medication and or any ongoing treatment which results from a visit to the vet whilst in our care.

We reserve the right to refuse to board any pet that is clearly unwell or in a very poorly condition.

Any owner requiring that their dogs or cats share accommodation does so at their own risk and must sign to this effect.
